Playgroup for Infants and Toddlers

We’ve teamed up with Mt. Blue Early Childhood Room to bring you a fun playgroup for little ones every Friday when school is on at Mt. Blue Campus. From January onwards, our home visitors will drop by every second week with cool activities for the kiddos. Even though we’ll be there only once a month, the playgroup is still on every week. Can’t swing by during the school year? No biggie – we’ve got a laid-back playgroup happening in Wilton during the summer.

Open for ages infant to 4.

Children’s Festival

The Children’s Festival is held the first weekend of February vacation at Mt. Blue High School. This free family event helps to relieve cabin fever with music, magic, movement, hands on activities and a low cost food court. The festival is fun for all ages!

Father Daughter Dance

This annual event has become so popular that there are now 2 dances on the same night from 6:00-9:00pm, one in Jay and one in Strong. We will have dancing, DJ, refreshments, a photographer and prizes at both locations. Tickets available for the dance at Calico Patch, Flower Barn, White Elephant, and Edmunds Market for $12 in advance. Tickets available at the door for $15. One ticket covers a father and all of his daughters.

Child Abuse Prevention Month- April

This event raises awareness of the effects of child abuse while promoting positive family interactions. This month highlights the partnership between law enforcement, the State of Maine and the local Child Abuse and Neglect Prevention Councils. Here in Franklin County a free Pancake Breakfast is provided for families and is hosted by the FCCTF and the Farmington Rotary.

Community Baby Shower

Celebrate the joy of new beginnings at our Community Baby Shower! It’s a fantastic chance for parents with newborns to forge connections within the community, discover valuable resources for their growing families, and dive into the excitement of a baby item raffle.

This inclusive event welcomes all expectant parents and those with babies under 6 months of age. Bring along a support person to share in the joy! Join us at the Farmington Elks Lodge on June 15th from 1:00-3:00pm.

Get ready to mingle with over 15 Community Organizations dedicated to supporting parents and children. Each organization will be there to share a special item or engage families in delightful activities.

To add to the festive atmosphere, we’ll be providing light snacks and beverages. Don’t miss out on this uplifting and informative gathering—it’s the perfect way to kick off your parenting journey!
